Hi,
I am trying to connect to an Oracle Database using Devart dotConnect for Oracle.
I am able to configure the Data Source without any issues in the wizard and the Query Builder runs fine. The problem is when I try to execute the query in the Wizard at the Preview Data Source Results I get an error dialog box only says Devart.Data.Oracle.
Thanks,
Yu

Hi Yu,
The SqlDataSource uses ADO.NET classes to interact with any database supported by ADO.NET. This includes:
As you can see Devart dotConnect for Oracle is not among the list of supported providers. At this point we do not have plans to introduce support for new providers, but if the interest for a particular provider increases we might consider it.
Sincerely yours,
Steve

Hello Patrick,
When you say "proof-of-concept" you mean that you were able to get it running with our SqlDataSource component? If this is not what you meant, then yes we would consider supporting SQLite for future versions.

@Steve,
I'm not using the SqlDataSource component. I've sent an email the Telerik support email address which contains a link to download the demo app from MediaFire.

Hi Patrick,
Thank you for the heads up. We've logged SqLite support in our system and it would be considered for future implementation.
Best wishes,
Steve

it's so sad that you don't support the most used oracle provider for EF4 (DevArt dotConnect for Oracle)
