TreeView inside a Grid

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to insert a RadTreeView in a cell of my RadGridView but I can't make it work. I tried using RadTreeViewElement like a children of one of my CellElements but without success. Does anyone know where I can found an example or at least an explanation of how to do that ?

Hi Nean,

This is not a common scenario and placing RadTreeView inside RadGridView may lead to performance issues. If this is not possible directly with RadTreeViewElement, you can place the RadTreeView control inside RadHostItem.

Please describe your scenario in detail, maybe there is a better option; I am looking forward to your reply.

I would like to customize the radGridView to support expanding and collapsing row.

How ca i do this with the telerik components?

Thank you for this question. Currently this layout is not possible with RadGridView. However, we plan to add self-referencing hierarchy and tree-list functionality in RadGridView in one of our upcoming releases. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.
