Hi, we recently moved the widgets in our open-source application from jQueryUI to KendoUI Web for various reasons including support for touch devices. As your site says "All Kendo UI Web widgets provide full support for touchscreen devices" however in the latest build this isn't working for some widgets, as mentioned here.

That thread addresses the calendar widget but we were unable to get the suggested fix working for the datepicker.

There is some pressure to move to a more mature widget library with touch support, so if you could let me know when to expect a fix in the stable branch I can hopefully keep KendoUI in our stack for launch. In the mean time if you could point me to the edge/unstable source I might be able to patch it for now.

Thanks in advance for your help, and thanks for your great work with KendoUI.

Hi Simon,

The fix is already in the stable branch - the internal builds we produce for our clients (accessible through their accounts) feature it. The fix will also be present in the service pack which should be released in the beginning of September.

That said, loading the attached in that thread script just after the kendo.all/web or whichever you use should fix both the Calendar and the Pickers which use the same Calendar widget within them.

Kind regards,

Thanks for your swift reply, however I can't see the attachment. Am I overlooking something?

Is there a Repository where I can access the latest source? I'm doing some debugging, for which the minified JS is not best suited.

Also, where's the best place to report bugs. I've noticed a CSS issue related to "box-sizing: border-box" and also an Android issue in which touch events are mistakenly propagated to elements behind the calendar/time-picker.

If I fix something, should I issue a Pull Request, like we do in open source communities on Github?

Sorry if this should be in a new thread.
