Just wondering about examples using themes, skins?
I know these are different controls to the jQuery UI ones but the themeroller stuff in jQuery could be handy to create themese for Kendo UI or will you have your own way to create themes?

You hit the nail on the head with this one!
Indeed we are planning to introduce our Theme Builder addon (serving similar purpose as the jQuery Theme Roller for jQuery UI) with the official v1 of Kendo UI. You can see the entire roadmap for the official Kendo UI release here.
Additionally, since the styling foundation of the Kendo UI Widgets is very close to that of the jQuery UI widgets, it will be relatively easy to port the styles you eventually used with jQuery UI to Kendo UI.
