We have experienced similar issues before. Mostly, they were related to the used font.
When you preview the report in the browser, it may substitute the fonts that cannot be resolved with default ones, hence the characters may still be displayed correctly, although with another font. The font when rendering in PDF is treated in a different way, especially, if you render the report in Linux. This includes also the printing from the Html5 Viewer, which is essentially rendering in PDF. In these cases, the reporting engine relies on the GDI+ routines to provide the correct Unicode characters from the font, specified in the report definition.
I would recommend using a font that supports all characters from the Chinese Unicode Range. Here is a list of fonts that cover all or most of the Chinese characters - you can try some of them and see if the issue will be resolved.
