I read through the documentation, but it doesn't appear that textarea is a supported input type for mobile. Is this going to be supported in the future or is there a workaround to ensure that it will work?

I'm working on a proof of concept that I intend to integrate with PhoneGap to produce an Android app with, and I'm trying to determine what the limitations are.

Thanks.

Hi Rip,

The HTML <textarea> element can be used as an input element in Kendo UI Mobile, but a custom CSS is needed for customizing its visualization.

Hi Iliana

It seems the content in <textarea> is not scrollable.
Is that right?

Hi Fanzy,

You are right - the <textarea> is not scrollable. The implementation of this functionality is not in our immediate plans, however we may consider it for future releases. If you wish, you can create an entry at our UserVoice page - the community interest in the idea will influence on our decision towards implementing it.
