I am trying to add a Telerik report (.trdp) in my project which has Telerik.UI.for.AspNet.Mvc5 version ="2019.2.619" installed. But every time i try to use Telerik MVC Report Viewer View R2 2020 and add a report, it reverts to version="2017.2.504".. I also tried updating the version through the nuget package manager but it only shows me one version which is the 2017 one.. May I know what is causing this?

Hi Aaron,
Telerik Reporting doesn't use Telerik.UI.for.AspNet.Mvc and I don't see a reason for our MVC Viewer to cause the described reverting. Our TRDP reports are pure XML files (compressed) describing the report layout and don't utilize any Telerik components.
I can only guess that there are some Visual Studio caching or specific project settings that cause the problem. You may check the cproj file and the project configuration file web.config for potential issues.

Yes, it's weird cause just like you said, it's not even using Telerik.UI.for.AspNet.Mvc. I'll go re-check on it once I have time but for now I'll add the components manually without using the template Telerik MVC Report Viewer View R2 2020.
