Telerik.Reporting dll was updated to version 14 and then the report data in textboxes was not loading correctly. As there are many reports in the solution and hence

processing cacheDefinitionproperties=false has been set in web.config.

After this the reports are randomly giving error "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object"

Below Stack Trace :

Telerik.reporting.processing.AbsolutePositionLayout.MeasureHorizontalContent

I am stuck in between of this upgrade.

The reports open in many languages .

Hi Pragati,

In version R1 2020 SP1 (14.0.20.219) we have applied the following fix:

"An error occurs when rendering report with cacheDefinitionProperties turned off"

In the ticket info I see that you are using product version 14.0.20.325, in which the above fix is included. Please confirm that this is indeed the version of Telerik Reporting that you are using. In case you are using an earlier version, please upgrade to 14.0.20.219 or later.

In case you are using 14.0.20.325 as stated in the ticket info, it seems that the issue you experienced is a different one and is not fixed yet. We will need a runnable sample project demonstrating the issue in order to investigate it and fix it.

Hi,
I have added a sample project files (web page, report, web.config) which gives me the error in discussion. Telerik.Reporting version used is 14.0.20.219

The cacheDefinitionProperties is turned off. When I render the report it gives me the error.

Hello Pragati,

Thank you for providing a sample report which exhibits the issue. I have managed to run it locally and confirmed that there is a problem with the scenario. I am going to log this for further investigation. Your Telerik points are updated in order to thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight and helping us to improve the product.
