[Telerik Report Server] Subject line Variables / Expressions in Email Scheduler?

Good Afternoon Telerik Forums,

 

I created several reports in Report Designer and uploaded them to our Telerik Report Server. I had the reports send every month on the first the entire previous month. How can I have the subject say Report for {Prior Month} and {Current year} and update every month when it sends out the scheduled email?

 

Is it even possible to get the prior month and current year in the subject every time the scheduler sends out the email?

Hi Austin,

If I understood correctly, you would like to include Expressions in the Email bodies sent with the scheduled tasks. Please, take a look at the following resources listing the available variables:

• Mail Template (Local) Tab
• Mail Template (External) Tab

Note that if the value you would like to use is not listed, you may use a Report Parameter with the desired name and information in the reports. You may hide it from the users and it is not necessary to use it inside the report.

On a side note, as a licensed Telerik Report Server user, please, consider the following reminder regarding recent Telerik Report Server security updates. An exploit script, related to two separate vulnerabilities CVE-2024-4358 and CVE-2024-1800, was publicly published by a security researcher. If you have not yet updated to 2024 Q2 (10.1.24.514), we urge you to immediately upgrade Report Server to 2024 Q2 or apply the temporary mitigation.
