I am moving a report from SSRS to Telerik due to better support for HTML fields in Telerik.

I have a table, and I want it to appear like:

Table Header
Group Header
Data

However, in using Telerik Reporting, I don't seem able to achieve this. It seems that the best I can do is:

Group Header
Table Header
Data

Based on the below screenshot (currenttelerikreport.png) - I would think I could "just" add a new group header row and add my table header columns, but I'm unable to split the cells. I don't know if the multiple merged cells are causing a problem or what.

Any ideas?

Hi Daniel,

The Table is a simple variant of the Crosstab - all column groups are static.
The initial table header is formed by the headers of these static columns. The groups that you are adding to the table are row groups and their headers are laid out a bit differently.
From your screenshots it seems that in your case, you only need to add a couple of static rows to expand the table header. The field CodeDesc that is in the blue background, I suppose comes from the report's DataSource (and not from the table's). If that is the case, you can use the following expression to display it:
=ReportItem.Parent.DataObject.CodeDesc.
However, this is a bit of a blind guess because I do not know your data-structure and overall report layout.
If you need further help, it will be best to open a support ticket and attach a runnable sample (along with some data).

Have you tried the new visualization options in Telerik Reporting Q1 2013? You can get them from your account.

Hi,

I am looking for a way to make row become the headers - is there a simple way of doing that?

best regards,

Hello Søren Agerbo,

You can rotate the layout of the table from its context menu:
