I am creating a book table of context.  Reading the information on Table of Context (https://docs.telerik.com/reporting/table-of-contents) it seems all I need to do is add the field name to the TocText property.

When I create the book, the table of context does not automatically assign the style levels to the groups, all the entries seem to be using Style 1.  Is there something I need to configure in the TocText property or elsewhere?

Hi Ken,

You may need to set the Level property. It  contains the properties and styles for each TOC level. The hierarchy of levels corresponds to the hierarchical structure of the report sections, items, and groups for which the TocText property is set.

Please, find further information in the Table of Contents article.

Hi Neli,

I re-read the TOC article you referenced.

I have two groups in my report

groupHeaderSection

   groupHeaderSection1

Hi Neli,

I re-read the TOC article you referenced.

I have two groups in my report

groupHeaderSection

   groupHeaderSection1

      Detail

I have assigned the TocText in both the groupHeaders.  In the TOC.trdp I changed style 1, 2 and 3 to have different background colors.

When I run the report that has the TOC and all the trdp files (sorry forgot the type of report this is) both groupHeaderSections show up at the same level.  I was expecting groupHeaderSection1 to be style 3 and not style 2.

Based on what I was reading the style level should automatically be style 3.

Hi Ken,

You need to set the TocText of the groups rather than of the group headers/footers. You may use Group Explorer to select the group and set the property.

Hi Neli,

The TocText needs to be set at the group HeaderSection(s) and not at the field/text box level correct?
