Hi,

I see in the release notes for Telerik Reporting Q3 2012 Service Pack 1 for the Silverlight ReportViewer that you've fixed "Support for print operation without invoking a print dialog". Can you tell me/provide an example how to use this feature? I cannot find any information about it anywhere.

Hi Tomas,

This is in regards to the native print in the Report Viewer for Silverlight. The SL print API does not allow you to list the available printers on the client machine, but it is possible to print directly to the default printer of the user. To do this just set the UseDefaultPrinter property of the Silverlight viewer to True and it would use the default printer on the client machine. Be aware that this functionality requires elevated permissions. If the application is partially trusted the property is ignored.

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately this feature wasn't really what I was hoping for. I thought it had something todo with printing a report without loading it using the ReportViewer first.
