Hello Joe,
You can see the styles in this dojo for an example on resizing the Splitter handle icons.
I hope this helps.

It sort of helps... but those arrow icons are still pretty small, especially for the elderly within the office...

Hello Joe,
Further enlargement of the handle icons would necessitate increasing the Splitter bars' width. I have created the following dojo example to help get you started should you choose to do that. You can find it here: http://dojo.telerik.com/EJaKO/4
Please note the custom styles.
I hope this helps.

Thanx... I can see the icons on the vertical splitter bars are indeed larger, although they're listed as .k-splitbar-horizontal (nooooo, not confusing at all... I'm assuming since they split the pane horizontally is why they called horizontal regardless that the actual bar themselves are vertical?) but I am unable to do the same thing for the vertical splitter bars. I tried adding a style for .k-splitbar-vertical, but it did nothing.

Hello Joe,
To customize the horizontal bar, you can use the k-splitbar-vertical class as you can see in this dojo: http://dojo.telerik.com/EJaKO/6
To customize the horizontal handle bar (the black rectangle), modify the k-resize-handle.k-i-hbar class.
