The SortOrder property doesn't seem to be getting saved in the XML produced by the GridView.SaveLayout function. If I set the SortOrder="Ascending" manually in the saved XML and then use GridView.LoadLayout, the sort is applied correctly. AllowSorting is set to true for all columns.

Hi Graham McGibbon,

I have some good news. We have fixed some issues regarding the Save/Load layout of RadGridView in the just released Service Pack. I tested whether the sorting feature is saved and loaded in the xml file and verified it does.

RadControls for WinForms Q3 SP1 was released yesterday, so I would suggest installing it and giving it a spin.

If you encounter any other problems with this feature please feel free to contact me.

All the best,
