The last thing I need to make this report usable is to be able to sort the contents of the detail section by line number (which is an integer). The Group Explorer has a column called Sorting, but it seems that the Detail section cannot be sorted. How do I sort that section according to the line number on the sales order. Right now, when I print, I get line numbers in a random order instead of 1, 2, 3, etc.

Hi John,
Basically, you may test sorting on the report level.
Can you send us the report in a Support ticket and give us further details about the desired outcome or screenshots?

Is there a solution for this? I'm having the same problem. My SQL database has the rows sorted by line #, but the report is showing them out of order. How do I get them sorted to match the same order they are in the SQL database?

Hi Karla,
Generally, when there is no sorting in the Report, it will display the data as it comes from the database. If you need any particular sorting, you may use the Sortings property of the Report or the corresponding data item.
