Sorting on dates in grid with template

my jsfiddle example has simple sorting but result on the date sorting is random, is there a way to customize this or handle date sorting when null dates are present?

Hi Erlend,

We were able to observe incorrect behavior when dates earlier than 1970 and nulls are combined. However, we managed to address it and the fix will be present in the next internal build.
