Good day,

I have a 1 page report, when I view it in windows 7 with (I3 and 4GIG) specs, report is rendered in 2-3 seconds, but when I view it in windows xp with celeron processor and 1GIG of RAM, it took 2-3 minutes to render a 1 page of report. Is there any OS requirement or is this related to silverlight in windows XP?

Thank you

Hello,

Handling reports (be it with large data or large number of report items) usually requires additional resources in terms of powerful CPUs, and enough memory to handle all the operations. As far as the processing time and consumed memory is concerned, the complexity of the report layout, the complexity of the data calculations (aggregates, conditional formatting),  the rendering media, the size of the generated document (in pages), and the capabilities of the underlying machine are crucial.

All the best,

Hi,

I was using Telerik reporting for my MVC application. My system capacity is about 4Gb of RAM, Intel I3 processor and windows XP SP3. Just i am rendering 11000 records without any calculations and joins etc. but it takes nearly 2 minute to render all those records in report and as for as system applications like printing also responds after 30 seconds. My client is thinking to buy a whole product. But it seems to be very slow. Is there anything i need to do for increasing the performance.

Hi,

We appreciate your explanation of your scenario, but without a runnable sample project on our end, it is very hard to give appropriate advise especially when it comes down to making something work faster/better. That is why we would appreciate if you open a support ticket and send us a sample application that we can run on our end and observe the problems you've elaborated on. Once we review it, we would be able to provide you with more info.

All the best,
Steve
