Hi..
1. I get outofmemory exception on large reports over  500+ pages.
2. When I include a Chart and have have more than around  5000+ items  (datapoints) I get a chart outofMemoryExceptions

any ideas?

Hi Jon,

Does this happen only when you render the report in the Silverlight viewer or does it happen in any viewer/Preview?
Is the out of memory exception thrown only in the chart item (i.e. red rectangle with the exception where the chart should be) or is the exception shown in the viewer instead of the whole report.

What are the machine resources - reports with large data require resources in terms of powerful CPUs, and enough memory to handle all the operations. Also 5000 data points are a lot to render and the chart will have problems with more than 1000 items on screen. While the product was designed to be easily customizable and feature rich it does not cope well with extremely busy charts. We recommend reducing the number of items shown in the chart, to avoid such problems.
