Showing percentage in the Chart

please refer the  attached  sample chart 

I have a requirement in which we have to show a stacked column chart with two series
we want to show every category in the category axis  to be in a 100 % scale ,but in the data we will be sending only the absolute value not the percentage value, is it possible to achieve this ? if so please advice

Hi Sanjeev,

I am not quite sure if I understand your scenario correctly - do you have in mind the value axis (not category axis)? If this is the case you should specify format for the valueAxis.labels (as shown in this online demo). If you are requesting a different functionality, please elaborate a bit more - this way I would be able to advice you further and provide concrete recommendations. I think its altogether a different functionality, because  the data for the chart contains nothing related to the percentage , while i expect the kendoChart to do the math and calculate  the percentage for 100 percent for every category and plot the graph accordingly, so that the label will show the actual value while the chart has been plotted in percentage.

The attached sample chart has 2 series (occupied,vacant) , the Category 'Cardiac Care' contains 134 occupied beds and 34 vacant beds, what we expect is we want the  kendo to calculate the total (168) to 100 % and plot the Occupied beds as 80% (approx) and the vacant beds to be 20% (approx)  while still allowing  the labels to shows their actual values not their percentage .

Is this functionality supported in kendo by default or is there any other way by which i can get this done?

Hello Sanjeev,

Thank you so much for the detailed information. I am afraid your scenario is not supported in Kendo UI Chart at present, however the idea sounds good and I will suggest to send it as a feature request at our UserVoice portal. This way the community would be able to vote and comment it and if the suggestion gains popularity we will consider its implementation.
