How to add a border to the shaped form?

No i did not resolve the problem.
The border shows up in design time, but when i run the project the border disappears.
I designer.vb i am setting
me.shape = new roundrectshape(6)
me.bordercolor = somecolor
me.borderwidth = 6

it disappears in runtime

and also why cant we just set the border and color in design time with out having to go into the designer code and set me.shape = new roundrectshape?

FYI I have a radribbonbar on the form.

After I type the code in to give the shaped form a border....when i click on the [Design] form to see it and click back to the designer.vb code ....what I just typed is gone!!
very annoying...
this seems very buggy to me...any help please?
