I work with RadVirtualGrid with DataProvider with which I would like to have a border on the entire row when it is selected, instead of having a border only on the cell.

Unfortunately, with the current implementation of the control, it will not be possible to set a border for the entire row.
Would it work for you if the selection background took precedence over the background color defined in the CellDecorationsNeeded event? If that is the case, you can log a new feature request in our feedback portal an we will consider implementing this in future releases.
