Hi Frank,
I am guessing here is that you are referencing the shape tool. I have double-checked this behavior in the First Look Demo ImageEditor in our WPF Controls Demo application and wasn't able to reproduce this behavior. I have also tested it with a standalone project but still wasn't able to reproduce it. May I ask you to check the attached project and let me if my set-up mimics yours.
