Hello Michael,
The RowDetails position inside the RadGridView can't be changed. You can consider using External Row Details. The approach includes using a DetailsPresenter outside of RadGridView, which is sync with the one inside the control. You can read more about this approach in the External Row Details help article in our documentation.
