Hey,

We found that on some Win XP machines running Adobe Acrobat Pro - text on our Reports can be flipped and mirrored/reserved.
See attached.

One these same machines, if they open it with:
Adobe Acrobat XI (not Pro)
or Gmail PReview
or Google Chrome
.. the reports are fine.

Just with Adobe Acrobat Pro  this issue happens.

Any idea what to do?

Hi Aron,

If reports are fine with:
Adobe Acrobat XI (not Pro)
Gmail PReview
Google Chrome

and then there is an issue when using just Adobe Acrobat Pro, this leads me to believe there is some issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro. Maybe you should try to contact Adobe support and provide them the PDF file which reproduces this issue.

We have the same issue once we updated to 9.15.624 and all PDF's we generated since then are bad when viewed on Acrobat v8 -- (and I assume other Acrobat versions).

Portions of the PDF are flipped/reversed. I don't believe "tell the client to update their Acrobat" is the correct answer if the PDF's previously generated had been fine on the client, and the report has not changed.

Has there been any status on fixing this?

Hi Heather,

PDF files are generated based on the Design Considerations for PDF Rendering and Acrobat 8 must be able to open the files for preview.

To my knowledge, there are no changes in the PDF rendering that may cause the content to be flipped or reversed. also tests with the local examples of the latest Q3 2015 and the mentioned Q2 2015 Telerik Reporting versions do not point to such issue.

Please check if you have enabled TextBox items' RTL support by changing the current threads culture. In such case the text will be displayed RTL in both viewers and rendered documents.

In order to provide you more accurate suggestions, please open a support ticket and attach a demo project including a report and test data reproducing the problem.

Regards,
Stef
