Reporting tool accessment

Hi,

I am interested in ​telerik reporting tool.

My requirement is as follows:

We have web site developed in Asp.Net MVC. Back end SQL Data base(2012 R2) .

Now we need to integrate the reporting module to the existing web site and below are the requirement, can you please provide more information if the below requirements will be supported in ​Telerik report and also do we need to install Telerik software in different server?

1) Drag  & Drop functionality for the user who login into the site(They should be able to create report on their own)
2) All report types(Chart, Text, PIVOT Table and KPI etc)
3) Different file formats are supported: HTML, Excel, CSV, PDF, XML
4) Reports can be created and sent to browsers, emails, mobile devices
5) Schedule and automated reports

Hi Sri,

End-users can use the Standalone Report Designer tool to design reports, where you can provide them with templates.The tool operates as the Report Designer in Visual Studio, and reports are saved in XML format (TRDX files) which can be later imported in VS or deserialized as Telerik.Reporting.Report objects or directly used in applications.

The Standalone Designer tool is an executable that cannot be integrated in other application, but can be extended with external assemblies containing business objects (e.g. data services clients loading data) and custom functions - Extending Report Designer to ease end-users in retrieving data for reports. You can also create templates from which end-users to start new reports. Once configured you can distribute the modified configuration file and the tool to end-users (Telerik Reporting License agreement - 4. License for Redistribution ) as a part of your solution.

The designed reports can be displayed in any of the available Report Viewers. Reports can be exported from viewers or programmatically (supported formats).

Other product I can suggest you is Telerik Report Server. The server uses the engine of Telerik Reporting and additionally allows you to preview, export and soon to schedule reports.
