Reporting Service in ASP.NET Core 2.1 Web API with Deployment on Cloud App Service

We are interested to develop a reporting solution with following details:

• Database should be Cloud DB Service (Google Cloud MySQL Database)
• Development Tool should be ASP.NET Core 2.1 Web API
• Application will be deployed on Cloud App Service (Google Cloud App Engine - GCE )
• We may need reports in PDF and Excel format.

 

Can we use Telerik Reporting? If not then kindly suggest solution (We can consider to develop reporting services in Full .NET Framework but it will be deployed on GCE).

Hi Imran,

The described technologies are supported by Telerik Reporting. The only component which we have not tested is the Google Cloud App Engine. I do not see any limitations of the engine such as limited GDI+ support, so it should be possible to use it. About the .NET framework requirements, the client application containing the report viewer can use a wide range of technologies and frameworks (Angular, ASP.NET, HTML5/JS), while the Telerik Reporting REST service which renders the reports should be hosted under the full .NET Framework.

My recommendation is to download a trial Telerik Reporting and test a sample app with the described configuration.
