Reporting install/update/uninstall fails

When I try to update Telerik Reporting using the Progress Control Panel, or uninstall my existing reporting, it aborts with an install error:

Product: Progress® Telerik® Reporting R1 2018 SP1 -- Error 1316. The specified account already exists.

Log attached.

Hi Josh,

Test uninstalling the old version with the 
tool that Microsoft provides for this purpose. After removing the old version you should be able to install the new one.

I just ran into this issue with R1 2020 SP1, The Windows App remover had the same problem. 

To fix I did a Repair, which succeeded and then I was able to upgrade.

same here -- needed to repair install via Control Panel, then, remove, then install new software via Progress Install App

I ran into this issue with R2 2020 SP1.  Had to use the Microsoft too referenced by Katia.
