Report URL as Drillthrough Report Source

Hello,

I am evaluating a trial version of the Standalone Report Designer and have two reports I want to link via Drillthrough.

I believe I have followed the correct procedures to select the "interactive" field and set up the corresponding next steps:

Edit Action > Navigate To Report > Select Report Source > URL or File

Both of my reports are published to our telerik server in the same folder / category. However, when I key the URL in the source box, add proper parameters, and preview, I am receiving the following message:

 

"Unable to get report parameters.
An error has occurred.
'https://telerik.justfab.net/Report/View/LMS_DEV/Department_Overview_Report' report cannot be found."

 

This is a valid URL for the report I am trying to link to, but assuming from the error message there must be some other way to reference the URL for an existing report that already resides on our server. I tried adding .trdx extension with no success.

Please let me know the proper URL format to use when setting up simple Drillthrough connection between two reports residing on the same server.

Can anyone offer feeddback on this? I am using the Standalone report designer tool if that makes any difference.

I need this functionality to work correctly as part of our trial analysis, so hopefully it is a simple tweak to my configuration.

I have tried many combinations of the reporting view URL and directory structure with no success yet.

Hi Josh,

If I understand correctly you are using the Standalone Report Designer provided via ClickOnce by Telerik Report Server. As of Q1 2016 we added handling of NavigateToReportAction set via path to another TRDX file for reports served through Telerik Report Server - Q1 2016 release notes.

Please download and upgrade Telerik Report Server and test running the main report in preview. The relative path to the target report should be resolved correctly - Installation.

Note that:

1. The Target report must be published on the Report Server;
2. To specify the target report use a the category and the name of the report with 'TRDX' extension - Reference another report stored in the server;

In consecutive version of Telerik Report server the dialog for selecting a target report will liste reports published on the server.
