When we have parameters for a report, in IE 8 (normal and compatibility mode) the report viewer overflows at the bottom the equal amount of height taken up by the parameters at the top. The parameters do not even display in Firefox.

We are using Telerik Reporting version 2.8.8.723 (Q2 2008).

We have a very small working c# application that can show this behavior.

Q2 2008 is almost two years old and if there was such an issue (can't tell since I have not used it back then), it is surely not present in the latest Q1 2010 version. My advise is to always upgrade to the latest version prior reporting an issue, so that you can verify whether it has been fixed or not. It does not make sense to report something only to get an answer that such issue does not exist.

Cheers!

Thanks for responding.

It makes absolute sense to post issues from older versions especially since it's the older version currently being utilized by my client and they cannot afford to just hop onto the latest and greatest version available. By doing this, a few possibilities may have been presented to us:

1) Resolution to upgrade to latest version.
2) A workaround to get the problem fixed.
3) A different approach to presenting the parameters in order to circumvent the issue.

Solution 2 and 3 above would have been $0 cost to the client. However, since you have confirmed option 1 above, I can now present this to the client and they need to decide what they want to do.

Thanks.

While you might have a point there, I would hate to be the bad news bearer, but according to this link http://www.telerik.com/support/technical-support-options.aspx a version is only supported one year and clearly your client's version is highly outdated. So basically you cannot expect support from the vendor for this version and #2 and #3 fade out. Now that I think of it, IE8 did not even exist 2 years ago, so such a problem could not have been tested and fixed. Looks to me like #1 is the only way to go here ..

Cheers
