Is there any way in a multicolumn report to have the report header span the entire width of the report instead of just a single column? I have a two column report and on the first page I need to have a title span the entire page before the columns start. If the report header can not be used in this way, is there a way to dynamically change what is contained in the page header after the first page is done? What about making the page header only visible on the first page?

Thanks

Hello Reinan,

There is no such functionality available unless you are using the PageHeader. A sample approach on editing the page sections is available here.

Kind regards,

This approach is straightforward enough, but it leaves me with a problem. Let's say I need a Page Header on all pages that is 0.5in tall. In addition to that I need 2.0in of 'Report Header' that I need to put into the Page Header of the first page so that it will span across my columns. How can I change the Height of the Page Header on all of the pages after the first page from 2.5in back to 0.5in. Otherwise I get a big white space at the top of every page between the real page header and the content.

This is a fairly common scenario in the reports I have to generate.

Hi Reinan,

Page headers and footers are not related to the report itself and therefore they are static and cannot be changed once the rendering has finished (more info in this help article). You can verify that by setting PrintOnFirstPage=false and notice that eventhough there seem to be no page header on the first page, its space that is taken up on the page is reserved.

Hello Sam Ur,

The "broken link" is a link to an obsolete KB article that is no longer valid. It explained how to use data source fields in the page sections, which is possible out of the box for quite some time now. As this is an old thread, if you have some specific questions/problems, please open a support ticket and elaborate on them there.

Best wishes,
