Hello,
We've got a problem when set group header property PrintOnEveryPage to true. On the report detail section, there's a subreport.
From the second page for each group, group header and subreport detail are overlapped.
Could you fix this problem in next release? We need print the group header on every page.
Thanks in advance.
mei

Hello mei,
In order to examine the described behavior we need to know the export format that causes this problems. We will appreciate if you can prepare for us a sample report that illustrates the issue.
Please make sure that you are running the latest version of Telerik Reporting - Q3 2007 SP1.
All the best,

Hi mei,
We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a bug in our rendering. This issue is already reported and logged in our bug-tracking system. When subreport height is more than one page it is rendered from the beginning of the page overlapping the rest content. The fix for this issue should be available in the next release due in mid April.

This bug doesn't seem to have been fixed in the current release. This is a major issue. Essentially subreports are useless if they break on to a second page. When will a fix be available?

I'm wondering if there is any update to this? The bug still seems to exist in the Q2 2008 SP1 release.
Thanks,

Hi Stephen,
Unfortunately you're correct - the issue has not been addressed in the latest version. The good news is that our developers are currently working on optimizing the Reporting core and we hope that with the implemented changes, this problem would be taken care of as well. We would have a preliminary build around the end of October, and we would consider releasing it for beta testing.
Sorry for the inconvenience this problem is causing.
Kind regards,
Steve

I have to agree. This is a significant problem for us right now. We are working on a major reporting application for one of the largest mutual fund companies in the US. Our go live date is October 31, so we've got a huge problem right now.
Can the change be made available as a hot-fix update prior to the full release? If so, PLEASE contact me on the email account in my profile. We would be happy to report our testing results back immediately, if not sooner.
Thanks in advance,
D

Hello Dathan,
Can you please open a separate support ticket and attach the report demonstrating the behavior. We are aware of the problem described in this thread and our developers are currently working on rebuilding the layout engine, but we want to take a look at your report and try to come up with a temporary workaround (if possible of course) until the first beta build with the new layout engine is ready.

Hi Spencer,
The 2008.3 release of Telerik Reporting does solve most of the known issues with the layout/paging of the reports when rendered in Image/PDF format or printed. For more information on the latest version please see the release history.
We will appreciate if you open a separate support ticket and send us a sample report that illustrates exactly the problem you are talking about. In addition we need to know in what scenario does the problem occur - export formats (PDF/Image/HTML/CSV/etc.); is it a Web or Windows Forms application (win/web report viewer); any other information you consider helpful will be appreciated as well.

Hi Gaurav,
This thread is 4 years old and the problem discussed is the following: When subreport height is more than one page it is rendered from the beginning of the page overlapping the rest content.
It is resolved in the Q3 2008 release and has not been reintroduced since. If you exhibit the above issue, please open a new support ticket and send us a sample report that illustrates exactly the problem you are talking about. If the problem is different, then again we would gladly look into it in a new support thread.

Size of Group header 1 is 11.5 cm.Group header 1 contains sub report.
Size of group header 2 is 1 cm which is just below group header 1.
as shown in "report.jpg" i wanted to print total amount 3680 should appear at specified location i.e 16.4 cm below page start.
If records are limited, means they requires one page then it works fine, but detail record are more n page size exceeds more than 1,then Total amount is appears just below group header 1 instead of leaving (11.5 cm) minus (size of data that comes on that last page).
Expected Output shown in "ExpectedOutput.jpg".
Thanks

Hello Gaurav,
Report sections in Telerik Reports follow each other i.e. there cannot be empty space between sections and therefore in order for a report section to be in a specific location, the preceding section should end in that location. See Understanding Report Structure for more information.
