Report export to Excel Issue

    I have a question, I use Telerik Reporting Q3 2015 SP2, after the 2018/8/13 Microsoft update, there will be attachment problems, how can I solve it?

    Hello tunglieh,

    If you have a corrupted Excel file produced by Telerik Reporting, please check the following:
    1. If the report can gather in the number of rows and columns allowed by MS Excel - Excel Limitations;
    2. If you use the Format text function or TextBox.Format property and if the set formatting string is correctly used with the type of data displayed by the reporting item;
    3. If removing styles from the report in a Report Designer resolves the problem with the produced Excel files.

    →Microsoft did not update when there was no problem, no more than Excel line limit

    2. If you use the Format text function or TextBox.Format property and if the set formatting string is correctly used with the type of data displayed by the reporting item;

    →did not use Format text function or TextBox.Format property, and TextBox using String(Default)

    3. If removing styles from the report in a Report Designer resolves the problem with the produced Excel files.

    →did not use styles.

    Please confirm that telerik reporting installed the latest version, can you solve this problem?

    Hi tunglieh,

    Can you specify the exact version of Microsoft Excel where the problem occurs, so that we can test to reproduce it locally. Is the problem related to .xls files only, or occurs also with .xlsx files.
    Can you install our latest version and test whether the issue will be replicated also with it.

    You may also open a support ticket and send us the report definition and the .xls files generated from it for local investigation.
