Dear Telerik,

I've been tasked with trying to get your GridView to fulfil our current grid requirements. I've been doing pretty well with it so far. My current stumbling block is trying to achieve the grid shown in the attached image file.

The problem i'm asking you about in this post is that to achieve this grid I will need to repeat the column headers for every group. My approach is to alter the style for the GridViewGroupRow and include a GridViewHeaderRow in each group header. This works in so far as the column headers are displayed at the top of each group, but any action by the user to resize the column gives unwanted results.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Pete

Hi Peter,

We have tried to achieve the desired column resizing but were unable to achieve this with the current state of the Grid. That said I will add this to the PITS as a feature request and hopefully it will get implemented sooner rather than later.

I apologize if this causes you any inconvenience.

Kind regards,

Has this been addressed yet?  I have been searching for a feature or a solution on-line for a couple of days without any luck.  I have a radgrid that is grouped and needs to have the heading repeated in each group.  In addition, I need control over the heading in order for the heading and data item to change in some of the groups.  I can obviously do this in the data section with my querying; however, I need control over individual grouped headers to finalize the radgrid.

Thanks!

Hi,

i wonder if this feature of having the column header repeted for each grop has been added to the radGrid in the3.5 years since Kelly posted the last reply on this post?

p.s. no one seems to mention that if you add this feature, then it will be imprtant to have the ability for the develper to define if the column headers will be above or undr the gropu header.

Thanks,

ilan.

Hello,

The current version of RadGridView does not contain this feature. Indeed, if it is added in the future, the behavior will be controlled with a property that switches between the default logic and the new one.
I created a public item for this feature request that you can track in our feedback portal.
