Remote binding with datasource and templates

What am I doing wrong in the below demo?

I want my template to bind to the data in the datasource...trying to follow the demos on the demo page, but...no luck :/

Hi,

 Only Kendo widgets can bind to a kendo data source. Set the data-role of your ul so a widget is initialized for it: http://jsbin.com/akusug/1/edit

OH nice!...then I get all the listview goodies too, fantastic

Is there a demo floating around anywhere that you know of which shows listview crud (edit templates) with mvvm + datasouce by anychance?

Tried googling examples, but can't find any.

 Perhaps the editing demo of the list view can be modified to use mvvm.
