I am using Chrome 61.0.3163.100

Compare the menus at

http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/menu

to those at

http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/menu/index

The Razor menu helper produces a menu with 'twist' triangles that are much closer to menu text and look pretty awful at that spacing.  Also, the MVC example does not properly specify the #megaStore background image -- This console shows "GET http://demos.telerik.com/content/web/menu/header.jpg 404 (Not Found)"

Question: Is there an option or setting to use in the Razor menu helper to make the rendering more like the kendoui one ?

Hello Richard,

The issue with the arrow icons smaller margin value in the MVC Menu is a known bug. More details on this issue and a suggested workaround you can find in this issue logged in our Github repo. Currently it is assigned to a dev and the fix should be available in the next release.
The issue with the missing background image has also been fixed and at my end it is displayed as expected (screenshot).
