By the time being, RadVirtualGrid does not expose a mechanism for defining customized columns. Shortly said, the rendering mechanism of the control builds whole render blocks for visualizing the data. Having such mechanism for customizing the columns would interfere with this implementation and the performance might be affected. Nevertheless, we have logged this as a feature request in our system. You can track the relevant item in the Feedback Portal: Add support for placing custom controls in grid's cells.
