I am trying to get the Markup Editor to show up at Design Time.  However, I am only able to get it to show up when using a radLabel and not a radTextBox.  See screen shots.

My project is an Outlook Addin and I am using a Telerik RadAboutBox.

I am on Windows 7 64bit.  Using Telerik WinForms 2010.1.10.409 with Visual Studio 2008 version 9.0.30729.1 SP and .NET 3.5 SP1.

I tried the latest version of the Telerik WinForms dlls, but it did not solve my problem and in fact caused more problems because a lot of the functionality I am relying on was removed (mostly to do with VisualElements).  I tried to fix my project to use the new dll version, but I was unsuccessful in finding alternative solutions.  So, for the time being, I am stuck in the version I am using.

Thank you.

Hello Robert H.,

Thank you for the writing.

I want to clarify that our RadTextBox hosts the standard textbox internally. This means that it does not support rich text, hence no design-time editor is needed.

Our HTML-like text formatting is a custom rendering engine developed for RadControls for WinForms and providing a text styling mechanism, which can be quickly applied to all Telerik controls and their elements. It enhances one of the smallest element in the Telerik Presentation Framework - the TextPrimitive which shows static and not editable text.

I would kindly ask you to provide us with additional information about the issues concerning the visual elements. This will allow us to address these issues in one of our next versions.

I hope this helps.

Sincerely yours,
Peter
