RadListView | Select first 'latest' item

I'm trying to make a RadListView select the first item that is the 'latest' from the server but I'm having an issue, http://i.imgur.com/hqwLM4V.png

The following snippet shows how you can select the first item:

private void radButton1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
   radListView1.SelectedIndex = 0;
    //or
    radListView1.SelectedItem = radListView1.Items[0];

}
