Hi

My company decided to use third party software like telerik or another soft (that I will not mention here, to avoid advertising of any kind). So I started to play with telerik at first. I made a simple RadGridView and added 3 columns and the Vista style. When I add a new row for the first time and type in some values, press enter, all is good. But when trying to add a new row again, after introducing some data and pressing enter, nothing happens (so i thought), because there is no visible change. But if i do something to the grid that needs refresh (like resizing a column) than the new data will appear. I think this is a bug, cause people will expect to see the new row as soon as they added it to the grid, not after a forced refresh.

I searched the forum but did not find any stuff on this issue.

Thank you.

PS. I have the latest trial version, using VS 2008 .Net 3.5 under Windows XP

Hello Gyula,

Thank you for contacting us.

I could not reproduce this issue with local tests. Maybe it appears in some specific situation and is related to your application. Could you please specify in more details the exact sequence to reproduce this issue.

We just released the Q2 2008 version of RadControls. I would suggest you give it a try. We will highly appreciate any feedback you have.

Do not hesitate to write me if you have any other questions.

Greetings,

Hi,

I just downloaded the new Q2 release and at first this does not have this problem.

If you would like I will put back the old version and try to give you more details (maybe send you the application). But the application is a standard windows form application in generated within the VS 2008 File->New-> New Project -> windows form application wizard.

But now I have other problems, for which I will open new threads (easier for others to find what they want)

Please tell me if you are interested in the issue from the Q1 Sp1

Hello Spoook,

Thank you for getting back to us.

As far as I understand, this issue does not occur with version Q2 2008, which I am glad to hear. However, if you manage to get the same issue with this latest version, please open a new support ticket and send me a sample application which demonstrates the wrong behavior. This will allow me to address any potential issue further and to give you more accurate help.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

Sincerely yours,
Nikolay

Take care...

ps. pls check out my other threads as well for the new issues I found.
pps. If you are interested in the problem in the old version (Q1 Sp1) please notify me...ok?

Hi Spoook,

Thank you for getting back to me.

You have understood me correctly. Since the issue seems to be addressed in Q2 2008, there is no need to send me a sample project regarding Q1 2008 SP1. Thank you anyway. If you, however, manage to reproduce it with Q2 2008, I will be grateful if you send me the sample project.

We will check your other threads for the issues you have discovered and will handle them accordingly.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

Kind regards,
Nikolay
