When I add a new RadForm to a project, the form class name has "_" & the language appended to the end, like this;

public partial class RadForm1_cs

Public Class RadForm1_vb

Is this Telerik adding "_cs" or "_vb" to the class name?  If so, can this feature be disabled without rolling back the control library version I am using?

Thanks,

Hi, James,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing any difficulties with the Telerik UI for WinForms suite.

It seems that you hit a known issue which has already been addressed. Here is the feedback item for your reference:

Feel free to upgrade to the latest R2 2023 SP1 version in order to benefit from the fix. Please let us know whether it has a positive impact on you end.

I should add that this behavior does not happen with the initial form created for a new project. It does happen when I add a new form to a project.

Thank you for writing to us.

This behavior is already fixed and it is not related to the Telerik Ui for WinForms controls. You need to update our Visual Studio Telerik UI for WinForms extension to the latest version. You can go to the top section in VS and click the EXTENSIONS -> Manage Extensions. Then find the Progress Telerik Ui for WinFroms Extension and update it to the latest version. Afterward, you can try again and share if this behavior is observed again on your side.

I installed the latest version 2023.3.1006.88 and it doesn't fix.  The classes generated have incorrect names. Please advise.

Hello, Greg,

The fix is rescheduled for the upcoming R1 2024. It is expected to be available for downloading in advance via the expected VS Extension version planned for  08.11.2023.
