Hello,

I have like 20 reports to create...
But, the first page of the 20 reports are always the same.

Is it possible to do like a "Master page" for the first page ?
Because if one day I have to modify the first page I would like to do it once... And not on each reports.

Thank you

Jean-Yves

Hi Jean-Yves,

You have three options:
  • create a base report that would contain your "first page info" and inherit from it for all 20 reports. A detail explanation and sample is provided in the following forum thread.
  • use the Report Book feature to combine all 20 reports with a separate report used for your first page info.
  • create a master report that has the info you need and use a SubReport item to load the 20 different reports based on your requirement.
Hope these help.

Sincerely yours,
Steve

Hi,
Please advise which one of these 3 options would be easier to implement and maintain. I have 10 reports created, but now i want to use master page to keep the header footer / style consistent. Maybe a comparison or issues in each approach make us choose. I want to make sure to choose the right one.

Thanks

Hi Muhammad,

For your case the easiest way to implement and maintain is the second option:

  • Use the Report Book feature to combine all 20 reports with a separate report used for your first page info.
All the best,
