When I place my application on my Android via phonegap, the date picker is just a text field. Is this how it is supposed to work? Having users enter dates manually is not a very good way to get an accurate date. My application depends on dates fairly heavily. When I view my application using a browser, the calendar control is present, but once I package it, it is just a text box.

Hello,

Currently Kendo Mobile does not have a date/time widgets (please note that putting an input with type date or time is not supposed to build a Kendo Mobile widget). The latest version of Chrome will display a calendar because it supports such input type, however the Android browser do not. A possible workaround is to use the widgets available in KendoUI Web package, however they will not have a native UI appearance on mobile devices.
