Hello.
We have a problem with printing reports "Telerik Reporting", to see the document on the screen goes well, but when printing is defective, the characters saen a bit garbled. The printer we are using is a dot matrix Epson LX300 +, the server operating system where the application installed is windows 2008 server and workstations from where we made prints are windows xp, windows vista, windows 7. Most of our clients manage these types of printers. Obviously the printer is working properly and we have made prints from other applications and does it well. We also print a report of those who are on the page of you and the result was flawed. I wonder if they have any idea what may be happening, thanks

Hello Eduardo,

Unfortunately the information you've provided is insufficient for us to determine what might be the problem. We have the following questions:
  • What happens when you export the report to PDF - is the PDF file ok?
  • Are you using custom fonts that are not present by default in C:\Windows\Fonts?
  • Are the fonts used in the report present on the client machine where you're viewing it?
Elaborate on the "a bit garbled" statement or best send us the exported pdf file or problematic report so we can get an idea what the problem is and advise you accordingly.

Sincerely yours,
Steve

Is this problem resolved yet?

I am dealing with the same problem. There are no problems with pdf files. They appear all well, and would print out perfectly fine out of a laser printer. But when we try to print the pdf out from a dot matrix printer, some lines gets shorter in height and since we're using dot matrix printers, this situation leads to unacceptable (unreadable)  text quality. So for now, we save the document as a .rtf file and print it that way.

Selami - you can't. All .NET based programs are using graphic print (as you have noticed with Acrobat PDF as well) and problems with matrix printers are nothing but expected. There are various approaches you can take, but all of them basically fall back to you taking care of the print.

Cheers!
