One of our client when to repeat a table on every page of the report. My idea was to use the page header to achieve but I discover that the page header doesn't accept any data-bound items on it.

So my question, does it exist a way to repeat a data-bound item (texbox, table) on every page of the report?

Hello Francis,

Indeed, the page header and footer are processed after the report data is processed and the report data source is not available at this point anymore - that's why you cannot use data-bound items there.

I'd suggest you try placing the needed items inside a static GroupHeader with PrintOnEveryPage setting enabled. Please follow the next steps for creating a GroupHeader:

  1. Open the report in a Report Designer and load the Group Explorer;
  2. Add a parent group to the Detail section though the Group Explorer. When the 'Edit Grouping' dialog appears, click directly OK without adding a 'New' expression - this will create a static group.
  3. The static GroupHeader and GroupFooter sections will appear at the beginning and at the end of all Detail sections.The group sections have PrintOnEveryPage and PrintAtBottom properties to position them.

Let me know whether such an approach would be suitable for you.

Regards,
Yana
