Plotbands with date on x-axis

I am plotting a graph with Date on the x-axis and Variance (decimal) on the y-axis. I would like to draw a plotband between two Dates. However, the from/to only supports numbers. The problem is further compounded by the fact that the base units can be changed - which changes the axis.

How can I resolve this issue?

Hello Amar,

You could set plotBands to the categoryAxis as specifying start and end position (take a look at this jsBin example which I prepared for you).

Hello,

I'm trying to display a plotband on my X axis (date) as well.

There's no error when binding From and To properties with a date value, but no plotband gets displayed on the chart.

I can't switch to a category axis, cause I need to use scatterline series.

Can you please help me ?

My bad, I hadn't set the value properly.

Plotbands do work with date value on the x axis of a scatterline chart.
