Hi All,
I'm currently in a trial period for the MVC UI suite, and i'm currently configuring the pivot grid to fit our current project.
Now just currently going through the features of this pivot grid i realise that the AJAX pivot grid has far more functionality than the MVC one.
One function in particular i would like for the MVC pivot grid is the AJAX pivot grid field list functionality, as seen here.
Now is this possible? And if so is there any examples of this.
Thanks,
Jamie

Thank you for getting in touch with us and for your interest in PivotGrid for ASP.NET MVC!
Generally speaking, the RadPivotGrid component for ASP.NET AJAX is developed several years more than PivotGrid for ASP.NET MVC, hence it is expected to has more features. I can assure you that we are following our users interests and add features that are highly desirable.
If you are talking about the "All fields" section in the pivot configurator, then this functionality is available. The PivotConfigurator for ASP.NET MVC shows all available fields.
With regards to the configurator layout, it cannot be changed like the Ajax component does.
Configurator position can be changed easily in ASP.NET MVC as it is a standalone element, that can be positioned using regular CSS. Check our online demos for more details.

Hi Georgi,
I am also evaluating the pivot grid control for MVC. I have implemented the PivotConfigurator on my page and it shows my measures and dimensions nicely, however it does not have a Filter area! This is a show stopper for me and I'm hoping you have a solution as this is pretty standard functionality when pivoting OLAP data. Please note I do not want to include the filter fields as visible fields in the grid.
Thanks,
Stuart
The "Filter Area" feature is in our TODO list, but I wouldn't be able to provide a concrete time-frame when it will be implemented.
Currently, the widget allows to define filters, but they will be visible if the field matches the datasource columns/rows configuration. I am afraid that I will not be able to provide a built-in way to accomplish your goal. The only workaround for the time being is to modify the generated MDX and add the additional filters there.

Hi Georgi,
I was under the impression this feature would be in the October release. Are you able to confirm that for me?
Thanks,
Stuart
The client cube filtering feature is planned for the upcoming official release (Q3 2015).
The "Filter area" section although is under consideration is not planned and I will not be able to provide any specific time frame for it.

Hi Georgi,
Are you able to provide some details about the "client cube filtering" feature that is planned for Q3?
Thanks,
Stuart
The filtering functionality, planned for Q3 2015, will allow the users to filter client cube (flat data) using the Dimension filter menu (which currently is not supported). Basically, you will be able to define filters for particular dimension, like you can do for OLAP bound pivotgrid.
