I need to add a PictureBox in my main windows. It necessarily has to be in a PictureBox, please help.

Hello Javier,

I guess you mean the WinForms PictureBox control. If this is your case, you can use the Image control. Image is the analog of PictureBox in WPF. 

If you need to show a PictureBox in WPF, you can use the WindowsFormsHost element as shown in the Hosting a Windows Forms Control in WPF article.
