Hi,
We want to plot values (on Y axis) against date (on X axis). For a plotted line, we want to show it differently after some date. Say y axis has date from 1st to 31st. We want line to be smooth from 1st to 20th indicating good data, and line fro 20th to 31st to be dotted indicating uncooked data. This line corresponds to one single entity/label. There could be multiple lines, one corresponding to each label/entity as well.

How to do  this?

Hi Shaneed,

This scenario is not supported by Kendo UI Chart - style is applied to the entire series, not to separate points in series. Please excuse us for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hi,

I have a similar requirement for our Line charts,  where in we want to show a solid line unto a certain point and dotted line from a certain point onward as in our attached image. We do not want to create a separate series and join them as we do not want to see an extra legend at the bottom.

I see that last answer posted on this was more than 4 years ago, I just wanted to know if this is still not possible to do? or do we have any alternative for achieving this?

Thanks.

Hi Raju,

The Line series are drawn as a single SVG path element and it is not possible to have different dash styles applied to a single path.

The only possible way to achieve such appearance with the Chart is to use two series configured to appear as one. It is possible to workaround the legend problem if you do not include the second series in the legend and hide it manually when the first series is hidden. Here, you can see an example:
