Hello ,

I have a question about Panel control. I use this control in detail section and I need to set Top and Bottom anchoring. But, panel doesn't grow when TextBox contains multiple rows.
When I set Docking property (Fill), panel increases properly, but I don't want to use this option because it covers whole width of report, and that's not my idea.
On the other hand, I noticed that anchoring works fine when Panel is located inside of GroupHeader section.
How can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance!

Regards!

Hi Bobi,

In which section is the panel placed? If page sections, then the observed behavior is by design, as page sections do not grow and obey all the rules that report sections do i.e. they are not related to the report itself, but are relative to the margins of the report's media.

Hi Steve,

thank you for the answer.
Panel is placed in Detail section. TextBox and Detail section grow properly with the textbox content as expected, but Panel doesn't.

Hello Bobi,

It would be best to provide us with a sample report that shows the behavior you describe as we're not entirely sure we understand your inquiry. What TextBox grows, where is this TextBox located and how does it affect the panel?

All the best,
Steve
