I tried to add an expression =PageNumber in the Report header, and it didn't show up.

Shouldn't PageNumber be available in all sections?

I am using the reportheader to display [=Page #: 1] text instead of ="Page #: " + PageNumber.  Then with the reportheader hidden on other pages, I am using the pageheader to show the pagenumber text for each page with a smaller footprint.

Hi Peter,

The built-in PageCount and PageNumber objects are accessible only in the Page Header and Page Footer as these sections are rendered after the data is processed. Please, refer to the following articles in our Online Help for more information - Reports Life Cycle and Report Sections.

The approach that I can suggest is to use Conditional Formatting over the TextBox item displaying the page number based on the PageNumber object.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

All the best,
